Boptronica is the same Jamie, but re-invented with a new and refreshing feel. Jamie’s third CD, also produced by Brent Bodrug, allows the listener to rediscover the Density CD with new ears: the electrified rifts of Boptronica are remixed samples selected from Density which have been reworked and invigorated with compelling arrangements, original keyboard parts, new drum grooves and additional vocals.
Half of the 21 tracks are brief, unnamed instrumental pieces that act like short sightseeing trips between intense stops on Boptronica’s journey. Infused with electronic styling and blues, Boptronica is a must-have for serious jazz fans attracted to music that pushes boundaries.
